About Us

At Chicago Contracts Counsel, we have 15 years of legal experience ranging from helping clients to build and protect their businesses to delivering exciting new products and services. Through our services we have helped clients to draft better agreements, simplify their contracting process, negotiate billions of dollars in business, launch new products and services, and reduce risk.
Born and raised in Florida, Joshua Cliburn attended the University of Florida for both his legal and undergraduate education.
After graduation, Josh spent the first 5 years of his career focused on complex commercial litigation. This experience helped lay the foundation for later career and educated him on the importance of legal drafting and the perils and pitfalls common to many agreements. In 2013, Josh moved to Chicago and began working in-house for a software company, where he rose to Assistant General Counsel responsible for all of the organization’s many contract processes. In 2018, he chose to join Axiom to diversify his client portfolio and experience. Since then, he has helped clients deploy new technologies, develop their contract process, engage new clients, create new business, and negotiated hundreds of different agreements.
He lives in Chicago with Nosheen and Johnnie. 
He is licensed in Illinois and Florida.

Joshua Cliburn

Johnnie was born and raised on the west side of Chicago. After a brief stay at Chicago Animal Care and Control, Johnnie graduated from One Tail at a Time’s foster dog program. During his time in foster care, Johnnie decided that he wanted to focus full-time on helping people enjoy the simplicity of life.
He spends his time focused on keeping Josh on schedule, meeting new friends, and playing in the park.
